Super Moon Vinyasa

This weekend, March 19th, we will view the “Super Moon” in the night sky.   The Super Moon (lunar perigee) will appear when it is in its closest position to the earth.   The term is used to describe a new or full moon at 90% or more of its closest orbit to Earth.  This week, the full moon will be at 100%.  

Chandra Namasakar is both a calming and empowering vinyasa sequence.  It is a feminine balance to the masculinity of the Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) variation.   The Yin qualities of Chandra Namaskar shift our energies, restoring balance & empowerment without creating heat in the body.  With the focus of energy drawing  inwards we bring unity between the Yin and Yang in ourselves.  Take your practice outside under the full Super Moon to soak in the empowering and healing  lunar energies.
