This weekend, March 19th, we will view the “Super Moon” in the night sky. The Super Moon (lunar perigee) will appear when it is in its closest position to the earth. The term is used to describe a new or full moon at 90% or more of its closest orbit to Earth. This week, the full moon will be at 100%.
