Fit Bump Contributor! Plus, How to Green Your Nursery

Have you seen or heard of the website FitBump? It’s a fantastic site & active community for moms & families on their site & social media. I have been asked to contribute as a “real mom.” My first post was on how to go green with your nursery. This is something that was important to us while planning George’s nursery. I got a lot of ideas using Pinterest to fit our theme of a “modern safari.” We were able to reuse & recycle items as well as find unique hand-crafted pieces on etsy (& support independent artisans).

One of my favorite etsy additions to George’s nursery were custom made wood nursery letters from Wanderlust by Alissa. Another etsy find was a custom wall decal with George’s name & a giraffe. We also added items that were made by my great-grandma & my husband’s grandma from our nurseries.

Is going green a priority in your house & baby’s nursery? If so, what ways did you make it more environmentally friendly while still making it unbearably cute?!
