There’s been a lot of focus this winter on the weather in the northeast. It’s been an extra snowy season with lots of school closings & getting cozy (or cabin fever) indoors. For me personally, I like the snow as long as I don’t have to be anywhere important. Being with a 6 month old indoors for days on end has made me appreciate the days when we can go out for a walk & connect with nature that much more. Some days I’ll get us bundled up just to sit on the front porch a bit. From an Ayurvedic perspective this season is dry & cold. To find balance think warm teas, stews, baths & slow yoga or meditation. It’s not the time for a juice cleanse or a big cold salad. Keep grounded through your root chakra by connecting to the earth.
How do you stay balanced & connected to nature during the winter months?
